Transform Your Triggers: EFT Tapping for Emotional Freedom
Hello folks!
Slightly later email than normal today.
A little checkity-check in one today.
Last week I received the news that I have been awarded my accreditation as an advanced practitioner in EFT tapping. Woohoo! This required me to write 4 case studies, be examined on a live session with a client, sit an exam and complete 50 practice hours.
Here is what one client (who is a therapist themselves) said about our work together:
"I see your approach as extremely felt, empathetic and authentic. Your presence feels genuinely loving and compassionate and I'd say these qualities inform a level of attentiveness that you provide which is extremely reassuring. You are methodical, calm, contained and you always checked how I felt about what we were doing. You were entirely collaborative so that I felt empowered in the process. Similarly you also demonstrated humility in your care to hear what wasn't working as well as what was."
I have seen fantastic shifts in the people I work with as we use EFT tapping.
What I love about it is that it is so collaborative and we always use the words of the client, which helps to address the inevitable power dynamics that therapist-client relationships can naturally create.
It's something that you can use on the go to help reduce stress, deal with triggers and feel calmer.
Ways I've Supported Clients and Can Support You:
Managing Triggers
Release emotional intensity around triggers before they escalate
Create space between trigger and reaction in order to respond with better choices
Develop personalised tapping sequences for recurring triggers
Reduce physical symptoms of being triggered
Addressing Fears
Safely explore the root causes of persistent fears
Decrease anxiety levels before challenging situations
Break the connection between past experiences and current fears
Build confidence by reducing fear responses over time
Inner Child Work
Connect compassionately with younger parts of yourself
Safely process childhood memories
Allow earlier versions of yourself to express needs that went unmet
Create new, empowering narratives around difficult past experiences
Reparenting Approaches
Learn to speak to yourself with kindness rather than criticism
Establish healthy boundaries for yourself so you act from your ‘adult’ rather than react from a younger part.

Working with Addictive Patterns
Identify and address the emotional drivers behind addictive behaviours
Reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms through targeted tapping
Develop healthier coping strategies for stress and emotional pain

EFT provides a gentle yet powerful approach to these deeply personal journeys, with the added bonus of being something you can use on your own between our sessions.
The chance to feel better is literally at your finger tips!
